BACK 2 SCHOOL

Every now and then I think about getting a new job, but then I met a kid who makes me sure I am at the right spot. Teaching children is wonderful! So you see I love making cards for other teachers to make them feel special but also cards to kids going back to school....

This is one of them...

Today is the start of a brand new  Challenges at Brown Sugar Challenges!

Here is what I created for the challenge...

I had so much fun creating this card. I used white cardstock and patterned papers from Maja Design. These papers are my newest and I love them! 

 I used one of the sponsored digis (the rose frame) and coloured it with my ProMarkers and Faber Castell pencils. Think that moss green and pale pink is my new favorites at the moment. I also put some stickles on the roses.

I used a white rose ribbon under the image and also glued some black and white twine in loops. 

Used an old sticker of two people in the middle, think they are Glitz. Also used my Martha Stewart punch and let some butterflies swirl.

Also splashed with some black glimmer mist and put a few pink rhinestones at the corners.

New Challenge has started at Crafty Catz

Yes today is Friday and I will have a few post coming up today. Crafty Catz has a new challenge running. This time it´s me who picked the them. We got Crafty Ribbons as a sponsor this week so I thought we had to have a theme which included ribbon somehow. So I picked
RIBBON PLEATING

My team mates has done an awesome job with this theme!!!
Are you a bit unsure what it means? Well it´s pretty much anything that has a folded ribbon on it.

I made this little Baby Girl Card. My folded ribbon is under the black ric rac ribbon. If you click on the picture you will see the folds on the ribbon better!

 

I have used one of my favourite stamps from Digi Darla called DigiDarla's Blessing Of Heaven 3. I have coloured with my ProMarkers and some Faber Castell pencils. Papers are from Fancy Pants and American Craft.

Back to school...

We have actually been back to school for a while but I love this time of year when you get to start fresh again....

Today I want to show you a card I made to a little fellow going to back to school. I used some of my favourite papers and this little cutie! He´s from Pollycraft´s newest Lil Dumplings and is called Brains. I am sorry about the photo! I will upload a better one tomorrow, at the moment it´s to dark to take a good photo. I coloured with my ProMarkers and some Faber Castell pencils.

My DT creation for Digi Darla

I have actually made a layout to this weeks challenge over at Digi Darla. I haven´t given myself time to make any layouts for ages and I have missed it. So from now on I have decided to try to pick it up again and make more layouts. 

This weeks challenge at Digi Darla fitted a layout great, the theme is

 Anything Goes with a twist - you have to use a digital stamp, a bow and butterflies.

And if you want to challenge yourself a bit more - twist something on your project, twist your papers, embellishments, hey, even your ribbon! Have fun and get creative! 

I decided to give myself a bit of help with this layout and used a great sketch from Veckans Skiss
 and it looked like this:

And this is what my layout looks like:

 I am so happy with it! I used some gorgeous papers from Maja Design. I "framed" the with paper with one of them. Then used a pretty pink page to back the photo. I splashed with black Glimmer mist on the white paper and used an edge scraper on everything. Everything I used are bought at my local scrap shop called Scrapbutiken.

 I used this fun digi from Digi Darla. It´s called Number 1 Ribbon and you can find it here!

 Some butterflies! Used one of my favourite Martha Stewart punches . I also used one of her other punches to do the little twigs. Some beautiful black lace.

 A black bow made with some black zig zag ribbon. I love this photo of my little B and her Piglet. He does make a great friend.

 I also draw with a black pen around the white cardstock and with a white pen around the pink paper.

I also found this fun challenge at 613 Avenue Creat. It´s called Create your own challenge. You have to pick 1-3 things from each colomn.

 We have had a break at Crafty Catz and now we are back!!!!! I can´t wait to show you my project for this week. I am so happy with the result. But first a little bit about this weeks challenge.

Now this is what I made a new cover for my calender. I seen a few challenges about Back to school but often they talk about cards. I thought this calender could fit Simon Says challenge who also has a Back to School challenge.

 I used one of the digis we got sponsored with from Kenny K. She is called Phoebe I actually thinks she look a bit like me! I used a lot of bright colours that make me happy. Strangely enough have orange and grey become some of my favourite colours. Me who use to be a black and turquoise girl.....  The two old pen nibbs are another deco that I love. Some corners, stickers and a button.

 I coloured with my ProMarkers and some Faber Castell pencils.

 I have machine stitched around the flower patterned paper and also on the top and bottom of the calender. 

 I used a belt holder from an old pair of jeans. I also cut out a bit and put it underneath my letters.

I got BUGS...

Some exciting news...

I have been picked to Ruby´s Rainbow as a design team member. I am so thrilled. Ruby´s Rainbow is a multicraft challenge blog. I am looking forward to be able to combine some of my crafting projects in their challenge. 

This is my first DT card and I hope you like it. The theme this time round is Food and or Drinks. I have used two stamps from Scribbles Design. I thought they were a perfect match! You can find them here and here.This card is actually a vaulter to my Mum as a Birthday present. She can swap it against a movie and dinner with her daughter...

 Used an old paper from American Craft. I also used some J. Collins stamps that I embossed with black embossing powder. I cut out the star with a die and then draw around the edge with a black pen.

I have coloured with ProMarkers and Faber Castell pencils.

Do the wave - it´s Monday!

I loooove Mondays because it means it´s time for a new challenge at Digi Darla. It´s me who picked the theme this week and I hope you´ll like it. It´s actually my Mum´s  Birthday today so the theme pick was easy, it had to be Birthday Celebration.

My Mum is a mad cat collector and loves red so with this in mind I sat of to make her a Birthday card. I used a super sweet digi called Cat In Pajamas and you can find it here!

 I like this black velvet frame and flowers from my local scrap shop called Scrapbutiken. Also ribon, pearls and the grey paper come from the same shop. I have coloured this sweet image with my ProMarkers and some Faber Castell pencils. Made the pants stripy using a white gel pen.  I put a banner at the top to make it feel a bit more like a birthday card and also used a bit of cheese cloth. The sentiment GRATTIS means Congratulations and we use that in Swedish on our Birthdays.

New Challenge at Scribbles Design...

It´s finally time to start a new challenge over at Scribbles Design.

Always a great challenge to keep a card or project Clean and Simple (CAS)... sometimes not putting that last little bit of bling is so hard!

I made this card using 
Carl Fretted

 I used some mist and made some splash pattern and then I added 3 buttons and 3 stars. I doodle a frame around the image and used some alpha stickers to write Happy Birthday.

Have used ProMarkers and my Faber Castell pencils to colour Carl.

A card to a sweet sweet girl....

on her Christening Day. I have used this sweet stamp from Di´s Digis Design. Some Maja Design papers, made an envelope and put a little letter from me to the girl in it, some flowers, pearls, and a few stitches....

Give me more summer...

please, please let the summer stay for a bit longer. It was cold this morning when I went to work and the grass was wet.... it felt like autumn! I love autumn with the beautiful colours but I still want some more sun and hot days....

I made this card to try to help myself to stay in summer mood...

I used papers from Bildmålarna and Maja Design, two Swedish manufactures. I love these papers they make me remember summer days down the sea. I just found a new challenge blog called Parade Your Craft. Their theme this week is Down by the sea, perfect right?  The stamp is from Pollycrafts latest Lil Dumplings and she is called Shelby. Gorgeous, don´t you think?

 I coloured with ProMarkers and my Faber Castel pencils. The twig, button, pearls and ribbon comes from my local scrap shop - Scrapbutiken! They are soon starting up their web shop!!!!

I also used some cheese cloth and a craft tag.

Fins, Feathers or Fur

It´s time for my second time to set a challenge theme over at Digi Darlas Challenge Blog. This week I picked Fins, Feathers or Fur. You can do anything you want as long as we see one of these elements on the card. If you want to challenge yourself even more? Try to use two of these options or a image of a cat in a fish bowl...

I used two different stamps from Digi Darla this week. You can find them here and here! They are called Cat in Wine glass and Wine bottle. I coloured them with ProMarkers and Faber Castell pencils, as I do most of the time....

 I doodle a bit around the card with a black pen and joined it to a word I wrote, it says Cheers!

Kept the card very simple, patterned paper, a journaling tag, two pieces of washi tape and some dew drops.

Just for fun

feels like it was a long time ago that I made a card just because I wanted to... So happy got a lot of creative things going on at the moment and I love it!!!!

 Got this little cutie from Crafty Sentiment a few weeks ago and was going to use it to join there challenge. But I ran out of time. So I jump into their challenge this week in steed. Their theme is animals so I embossed two insects flying around the girl swimming.  I have also used a sketch from YNS to make this card. The sketch looked like this:
